Biography[]
Matsumoto (松本) was a Yakuza boss in Tokyo, Japan who was responsible for the murders of O-Ren Ishii's parents, Mr. Ishii and Mrs. Ishii for unknown reasons. After witnessing Mr. Ishii die, something he found very amusing before a coughing fit stopped it, he murdered Mrs. Ishii himself by impaling her in the chest in the very same sword that had only been used to kill her husband and then presumably ordered the house to be burnt down to cover up their involvement.
Two years later and at the age of 11, O-Ren, having gone through intense training got her revenge, mainly because Matsumoto was a pedophile by sneaking into his house, disguised as a schoolgirl before disembowelling him, resulting in his death and even killed 2 of his bodyguards who had arrived to investigate what was going on.
