Synopsis
Beatrix Kiddo (under the beeper cover which conceals her name, and is simply known as the Bride) arrives after the Massacre at the House of Blue Leaves and death of O-Ren Ishii in Pasadena, California. She stops at the residence of homemaker Ginny Bell which houses her, her four year old daughter Nikkita and medical husband Dr. Lawrence Bell.
The voice of Pai Mei echoes in her ears upon her arrival in Buck's Pussy Wagon, telling her that in combat against your opponent, you must relinquesh any compassion and mercy and be ruthless in the kill.
Beatrix arrives upon the doorstep and rings the bell, bringing the marked Copperhead Vernita Green to the door, who is believing her to be friend Sarah who has the tendency to arrive late at their outings.
Verntta is shocked upon seeing her face, and Beatrix red visions the flashback sequence, focusing on Vernita. After the clearing fades, she strikes Vernitta to the face and enters her home, engaging her in combat.
Vernita is able to spindel Beatrix into a cabinet, and the two break the glass tables and furniture of the television room. This leads to a butcher knife fight, which is paused at the arrival of a yellow school bus outside.
Soon enters Nikkita, who enquires to the destruction of the TV room, which Vernita dismisses as her pet dog Barney's mess, and eventually, after a brief encounter with Beatrix, is sent to her room. While Vernita fixes Beatrix a coffee and pleas with her an apology, she insists that she is a changed person in behaviour and has a child, of whom she needs to live for.
Beatrix dismisses this, and recites the "unfinished business," which enfuriates Vernita, leading her to postpone their death fight to later that night, at the little league baseball dime a mile from her home, where they are to arrive with the possession of knives and black coverings and stockings.
Beatrix accepts, but Vernita uses this ploy to suddenly fix Nikkita Fruit Loops cereal, which secretly contains a loaded shotgun, which upon the remark of weapon choice and codename bestowed by Bill, is fired. Beatrix sends the given coffee cup spiralling at Vernitta, before finally deliveirng her knife to Vernita's chest, making her slide across the glass cupboards and landing upon the floor, bleeding from the mouth.
However, against Beatrix's intentions, Nikkita witnesses her mother's demise. Beatrix apologizes, declaring that if Nikkita's feelings are still raw of what she saw, when she ages, she can come and see her.
Beatrix leaves, as the finishing Mandarin speech of Pai Mei reemerges, telling that revenge is never a straight line, but a forest.
